This was one of the best festivals that I have attended. Held in Portland Oregon with some really great bluegrass bands. We traveled there via train and jammed most of the way down and back and jammed some more late into the night (or early into the morning depending on how you look at it). Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver were the highlight for me but some other great bands were Seldom Scene and The Young Bucs. Make sure to mark your calenders for next years festival.

Jammed with a bunch of people from the Pacific Bluegrass and Heritage Soceity that I already know. Also jammed well into the night (or early morning) with a great group of guys from all around the USA. John (guitar picker) was from Portland and James (banjo player) was from Washington (if I remember correctly). Also got to know a few new people from right here in the lower mainland. Told them all about our clubs and jams here and in Langley and Aldergrove. Took a few pictures of some of the acts but not of the jamming as I was having too much fun playing to stop and take out my camera. Oh Yeah I forgot to mention that Rhonda Vincent is one amazing chick!!! Sure wish I was able to sing and play like her. Her new CD is also amazing. Just came out the day we saw her at the festival.
